Tirupur

Tirupur is a beautiful city in the Kongu Nadu region of Tamil Nadu. There are several places to explore in this city like the famous Avinashi Temple. The temple is quite and clean and is visited by visitors every day. The road that leads to the temple is breathtakingly beautiful and is enjoyed by every devotee. Get your blessing from the temple to complete the trip. One more place worth visiting is the Thirumoorthy Hills which is located around 22 km away from Udumalpet and approximately 86 km from Munnar. The place has the famous Thirumoorthy Dam which is very interesting to visit and explore at the same time. The mountains surrounding the place makes it very picturesque. A must visit place for photographer and nature enthusiasts. There is also a fall near to the dam which is very beautiful and is enjoyed by the tourists visiting the place. One more place is the Tirupur Kumaran Memorial Statue which is a famous tourist destination. The place attracts tourists due to the historical Freedom Movement Art Gallery which will take you back to the old days. There is also a shopping avenue near to the art gallery which makes all the shopaholics go crazy. The place is also famous for another reason, as it has varieties of delicacies to offer for the people. So gorge on some good food while you visit Tirupur.

Avinashi Temple - 27 min (13.9 km)

Its a traditional Lord shiva temple , mainly famous for its chariot. The temple was on the busy Erode – Coimbatore (NH); and with the latest bypass road, this is now less hectic with busy traffic. Nearest airport is Coimbatore; Nearest Railway station is Tiruppur. Visited the temple on my way to Coimbatore. the temple is about 3 to 4 kms from the Highway, in Avinashi Town. the Temple is well maintained, very quiet and divine.

Thirumoorthi Dam - 1 h 33 min (83.4 km)

Close by to Udumalaipet – this dam is on the western ghat, and with a temple (Amanalingeswarar temple). Nice place to spend with family. Nearby Sri Amanalingeswarar Temple is very famous temple also situated in bottom of Western Ghats. This dam is located down the thirumoorthy hills waterfalls. Many frequent buses are available from udumalpet.

Adiyogi Shiva - 2 h 16 min (84.2 km)

Adiyogi siva is situated in velliangiri foot hills. There is enough parking in this area. You do the pooja infront of small temple. From here you can go the isha yoga center by walking, or on a bull cart. Its located at a distance of 30 kms from Coimbatore & this a place for the followers of Sadhguru…The area is just huge with lots of prayer hall and yoga center.Here you can find the inner mental peace.They you teach you the basics of yoga.
